Jade Lemon Tea

Lemon green tea is always a popular drink in the fruit tea category. Since it is very refreshing and also very healthy, many people would choose lemon green tea on a hot day. It also have another name in Chinese call the "Jade Lemon". I did not know how this name is originated but i am guessing that the color of Jade is green, and will remind people of green tea (although green tea itself appears more yellow).  The ingredients are very simple, yet the ratio of the ingredient is important in order to reach the “golden ratio". I personally thinks that everyone has different taste, therefore there is no reason to follow the "standard". But here is the "Golden ratio":
300 ml of green tea
40 ml of lemon juice (approx. 1 lemon)
2 tbsp of honey
Ice

It is very easy to make, very refreshing for a warm day. You can adjust the ratio to your preference.

Hawaiian shave ice vs. Taiwanese snow ice

The two famous ice products on this island, the Hawaiian shave ice and the Taiwanese snow ice.


Texture:
Hawaiian shave ice: granulated, sometimes chewable
Taiwanese snow ice: sheet/flake-like, melts in mouth

Flavor:
Hawaiian shave ice: syrup on top of ice, with hundreds of choices
Taiwanese snow ice: usually with the ice (use soy milk to make ice instead of water), less variety of flavor

Toppings:
Hawaiian shave ice: azuki beans, mochi balls, condensed milk, waffle cone...
Taiwanese snow ice: real fruits, mochi, jelly, azuki beans

They both are really good, Hawaiian shave ice has more flavor and taste, while Taiwanese snow ice has a smoother texture and various topping to choose from.

Double skin milk

Double skin milk is a Cantonese dessert. It is actually not milk, but milk pudding. It is well known for its smoothness and silky texture. The milk pudding has two layers of "skin", the first layer is formed when the boiling milk was cooling, and the second layer is form from cooling of the custard. It is hard to explain how the skin looks like, so here is a picture.
